Apple Remote Unlocking New UN sanctions on Iran for its suspect nuclear program
A resolution approved Wednesday by the U.N. Security Council by Apple Remote Unlocking a vote of 12-2 with one abstention imposes a fourth round of sanctions against Iran over its suspect nuclear program. Here are the key points in the 18-page text:
NUCLEAR ISSUES:
— Reiterates demand that Iran suspend enrichment and comply with all requirements of the International Atomic Energy Agency including its additional protocol which allows unannounced inspections of nuclear facilities.
— Calls on Iran to ratify the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty “at an early date.”
— Bans Iran from any foreign investment in uranium mining, enrichment or reprocessing, production or use of nuclear materials and technology, Apple Remote Unlocking heavy-water activities, and technology related to ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear weapons.
MISSILES AND ARMS PROLIFERATION:
— Bans countries from selling eight categories of heavy weapons to Iran: battle tanks, armored combat vehicles, large caliber artillery systems, combat aircraft, attack helicopters, warships, missiles and missile systems.
— Bans Apple Remote Unlocking all countries from supplying technical training, financing or other services for these weapons.
— Bans Iran from any activity related to ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launching such a missile.
— Bans all countries Apple Remote Unlocking from supplying technology or technical assistance to Iran for such activities.
INDIVIDUAL AND COMPANY SANCTIONS:
— Adds one individual and 40 companies and other organizations to a list of those subject to an asset freeze including 22 entities involved in nuclear or ballistic missile activities, 15 controlled or acting on behalf of Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guard Corps, and three linked to the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines.
— Orders all countries to ban the 41 individuals now on the list from traveling to or through their territory.
ILLEGAL SHIPMENTS:
— Calls on countries to cooperate in inspections — which must receive the consent of the ship’s flag state — if the vessel is suspected of carrying prohibited cargo.
— Bans the supply of fuel or services to Iranian owned or contracted vessels suspected of carrying prohibited cargo.
FINANCIAL AND BANKING MEASURES:
— Calls on countries to block financial transactions, including insurance and reinsurance, if there are “reasonable grounds” to believe these activities could contribute to Iranian nuclear activities.
— Orders all countries to require their nationals and companies operating in their territory “to exercise vigilance when doing business with entities incorporated in Iran or subject to Iran’s jurisdiction.”
— Calls on countries to ban the licensing of Iranian banks, the opening of financial institutions, or the establishment of new joint ventures if they have information that provides “reasonable grounds” to believe these activities could contribute to Iranian nuclear activities.
SANCTIONS ENFORCEMENT:
— Requests Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to establish a committee of experts to monitor implementation of all sanctions against Iran and calls for a first report 90 days after its appointment.
ENGAGEMENT:
— Stresses the willingness of China, France, Germany, Russia, Britain and the United States “to further enhance diplomatic efforts to promote dialogue and consultations … without preconditions” with Iran.
— Emphasizes the importance of political and diplomatic efforts to find a negotiated solution guaranteeing that Iran’s nuclear program is exclusively for peaceful purposes.
— Notes in this regard the efforts of Turkey and Brazil toward agreement with Iran on a fuel-swap for the Tehran Research Reactor “that could serve as a confidence-building measure.”
— Emphasizes in the context of these efforts “the importance of Iran addressing the core issues related to its nuclear program.”

NEW YORK — The health care information technology company Allscripts-Misys Healthcare Solutions Inc. is buying rival Eclipsys Corp. for about $1.3 billion in stock, the companies said Wednesday. bookmark php
Allscripts is a leader in providing physicians and their offices with ways to keep tabs on patient care records while Eclipsys provides similar services for hospitals and health systems. Those records include test results and medical histories.
The combined company’s client base will include over 180,000 U.S. physicians, 1,500 hospitals, and nearly 10,000 nursing homes, hospices and home care organizations, the companies said.
The combined company’s increased size and resources may also give its clients greater access to about $30 billion in federal funding for hospital and physician adoption of electronic health records as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the companies said. The incentives, which aim to shift the health care system to more efficient portable electronic records from paper records, begin in 2011.
“For the first bookmark php time, we have a company with the size, scale and reach to allow that to happen, said Allscripts Chairman and CEO Glen Tullman, citing the shift to electronic records. “Think of this as doing what the Internet did for computers.”
Adoption of electronic records by physicians is projected to grow from 12 percent to 90 percent by 2019, the companies said, citing a Congressional Budget Office’s March 2009 report. That same report said total spending on health care services would shrink because of the reduction in paperwork and inappropriate tests, along with lower administrative overhead. The report did not provide an estimate, but said there would likely be lower costs for private payers and lower health insurance premiums in the private sector.
Under the deal, Eclipsys shareholders will receive bookmark php 1.2 Allscripts shares for each Eclipsys share, a 19 percent premium over its closing price Tuesday, the companies said.
Shares of Allscripts, based in Chicago, fell $1.66, or 9 percent, to $16.76 in morning trading Wednesday while shares of Eclipsys, based in Atlanta, rose 53 cents, or 2.9 percent, to $19.04.
Allscripts’ Tullman will be CEO of the combined company while bookmark php Eclipsys CEO Phil Pead will be chairman.
The deal has been approved by both companies’ boards of directors and is subject to shareholder approval of both companies.
Separately, the British information services company Misys PLC will reduce its almost 55 percent stake in Allscripts to 10 percent through an underwritten secondary equity offering of its Allscripts shares and by selling shares to Allscripts.
Misys acquired a 54.5 percent stake in Allscripts for $330 million in 2008.
In a separate deal in the healthcare technology field, Cardinal Health Inc. said Wednesday it is buying Healthcare Solutions Holding LLC for $517 million, in a move to expand its tools and services for health care data and claims management.
UBS, Barclays Capital and J.P. Morgan acted as financial advisors to Allscripts in the Eclipsys deal.
Allscripts expects its buyout of Eclipsys to boost net income, excluding charges, in 2011. The company expects its fiscal year net income in 2010 to reach the high end of its 64 cents to 65 cents per share guidance, excluding charges, on revenue between $700 million and $705 million. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect net income of 65 cents per share on $702.3 million in revenue.
The fiscal year ends in May. After the buyout closes, Allscripts expects to report financial results on a calendar year basis.

AUSTIN, Texas — Samsung Electronics Co. said Wednesday that due to projected heavy demand for its advanced logic chips the South Korean company will invest $3.6 billion to expand capacity at its plant in Austin, Texas, and hire 500 more workers bookmark php there by 2011.
Samsung will raise its employee count at the facility to 1,500 from 1,000 by next year, boosting annual payroll to about $105 million. The expansion, which builds out the second phase of its 2.3 million-square-foot complex, will bring its total investment in the Austin plant to more than $9 billion.
Most of the new employees with be engineers and technicians. In addition, the company said almost 3,000 construction workers and equipment vendors will move in and set up the machinery. The plant will build advanced logic devices for Samsung’s system large-scale integration business and continue to make NAND flash memory chips, which are used in consumer electronics such as digital cameras, thumb bookmark php drives and MP3 players.
“Forty-five nanometer and below advanced logic applications are in high demand and respective markets are expected to show substantial growth in the coming years,” said Stephen Woo, executive vice president and general manager of Samsung’s System LSI division.

As Apple is preparing to meet a large demand for iPhone bookmark php 4, Walmart can now be added to the list of distributors on the launch day of June 24, according to .
The reason for the move is an attempt to help Apple alleviate some of the stresses of good 'ol supply and demand, giving customers an opportunity to purchase the handset from multiple retail stores. Best Buy and Radio Shack are also ramping up to offer up the newest iPhone on June 24 as well.
This would be the first time that Walmart will be selling the iPhone on a launch day of the device. Before, only previous versions of the iPhone were made available by the company, much later on. We all remember the of huge lines outside of AT&T and Apple Stores.
It should be noted though that Walmart will not be participating in pre-orders of the device, which are slated to start this coming Tuesday, through Apple as well as AT&T.

Canada introduces anti-spam law as spam URLs become pervasive
The Government of Canada recently re-introduced anti-spam legislation, titled the Fighting Internet and Wireless Spam Act (FISA), iskin solo skin white for iphone 3g in the House of Commons. Analysis revealed that nine out of 10 spam emails now contain a URL link in the message. In May, five percent of all domains found in spam URLs belonged to genuine web sites. Of the most frequently used domain names contained in spam URLS, the top four belong to well-known web sites used for social networking, blogging, file sharing and host other forms of user-generated content.
Domains belonging to well-known web sites tend to be recycled and used continuously compared with “disposable†domains which are used for a short iskin solo skin white for iphone 3g period of time and never seen again. This is perhaps because some work is involved in acquiring them: the legitimate domains require CAPTCHAs to be solved to create the large numbers of accounts that are then used by spammers.

Google Caffeine: A New Search Index to Challenge Bing
Finally Google has unveiled the next generation architecture for web search. The new infrastructure Caffeine would speed up indexing while preserving accuracy and comprehensiveness. Although it might be difficult for general users to find difference in search result, Web developers would easily identify a few differences with the Caffeine Web indexing system.
Before rolling out, Caffeine underwent extensive testing phase. Google along with its several data centers tested Caffeine for almost 10 months. The strenuous task was carried out in order to yield a fresh new indexing system that hugely differs from the previous one.
Caffeine is undoubtedly a menacing news for rivals of Google since it’s capable of faster search than Bing of Yahoo and many others. But Google has denied any other intention behind bringing Caffeine than helping its users.
Google software engineer Carrie Grimes said,
Content on the Web is blossoming. It’s growing not just in size and numbers but with the advent of video, images, news and real-time updates, the average Web page is richer and more complex. In addition, people’s expectations for search are higher than they used to be. Searchers want to find the latest relevant content and publishers expect to be found the instant they publish.
Grimes also mentioned that 100 million gigabytes of storage is required to accommodate Caffeine in one database. Perhaps you need 625,000 of the largest iPods to store hundreds of thousands of gigabytes of fresh content that Caffeine adds each day.
Lets delve into how Caffeine works. Well, you would be glad to know that Caffeine processes millions of pages in parallel. If you consider piles of papers, it would grow three miles taller every second.
Caffeine is built to meet ever rising expectations of the users. It’s been several times that Google received complaint for its old indexing system that very often fails to refresh a page in time. While some of the layers were refreshed faster, others took couple of weeks for update. With Caffeine, Google would be able to update their search index continuously. New pages, or new information on existing pages would be added to the index as soon as they are made available on the web. That means, you would get fresher information than ever before.
Caffeine is coming only one month after Google launched its fresh search user interface that brings new options to the users for slice and dice results. Now with this new search service Google is expecting to increase its search share which is currently sticking at 65 percent.

The MacBook is absurdly-priced... but it comes out of hibernation instantly... is very fast, and has seamless WiFi. The touchpad supports one, two, three, and even four-finger manipulation which is confusing at first, but greatly speeds navigation.

Why I Don't Like The Mac And Loved The Nissan GT-R

AT&T security hole exposes iPad users’ e-mails
SAN FRANCISCO — AT&T Inc. on Wednesday acknowledged a apple iphone luna speaker security weak spot that exposed the e-mail addresses of apparently more than 100,000 users of Apple Inc.’s iPad, a breach that could make those people vulnerable to precision-targeted hacking attacks.
The vulnerability only affected iPad users who signed up for AT&T’s “3G” wireless Internet service.
It involved an insecure way that AT&T’s website would prompt iPad users when they tried to log into their AT&T accounts through the devices. The site would supply users’ e-mail addresses, to make log-ins easier, based on unique codes contained in the SIM cards inside their iPads. SIM cards are used to tell cell-phone networks which subscriber is trying to use the service.
The hacker group that claims to have discovered the weakness — the group calls itself Goatse Security — said it was able to trick AT&T’s site into coughing apple iphone luna speaker up more than 114,000 e-mail addresses, including those apparently of famous media personalities and important government officials.
A representative for the group told The Associated Press late Wednesday that the group contacted AT&T and waited until the vulnerability was fixed before going public with the information. AT&T said the problem was fixed Tuesday but that it was alerted to it by a business customer.
Gawker Media Inc.’s Valleywag website earlier reported on the breach.
AT&T said it will notify all iPad users whose e-mail addresses may have been apple iphone luna speaker accessed.
“We take customer privacy very seriously and while we have fixed this problem, we apologize to our customers who were impacted,” the company said in a statement.
AT&T noted that the only information hackers would have been able to steal using this attack were users’ e-mail addresses. But that can be enough to launch a highly effective attack, since the attacker also knows that the person receiving the e-mail is an iPad user and an AT&T customer and would expect to receive e-mail from Apple and AT&T about their accounts. Criminals could use that knowledge to trick them into opening e-mails that plant malicious software on their computers.
An Apple representative deferred requests for comment to AT&T.
Apple has sold more than 2 million iPads since they went on sale two months ago. The iPad comes in two different flavors — one that only connects to the Internet via Wi-Fi, and another that also can connect through AT&T’s “3G” cellular network. The Wi-Fi-only models aren’t affected by the breach. Apple hasn’t specified how many of each model it has sold.

Looking at mobile phone penetration by manufacturers, Nokia leads the way with over a third of the worldwide handset market. In the smartphone category, Nokia’s Symbian operating system makes up just over half of the smartphones used globally, followed by RIM at 20 per cent and iPhone at 15 per cent.
